[. . . ] By ensuring the correct disposal of this appliance, you can help prevent potentially negative consequences for the environment and the health of persons. The symbol on the appliance, or on the accompanying documents, indicates that this appliance should not be treated as domestic waste but must be taken to a special collection centre for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. When scrapping the appliance, make it unusable by cutting off the power cable and removing the doors and shelves so that children cannot easily climb inside and become trapped. Scrap the appliance in compliance with local regulations on waste disposal, taking it to a special collection centre; do not leave the appliance unattended even for a few days, since it is a potential source of danger for children. [. . . ] Direct exposure to sunlight or installation near heat sources (radiators, cookers) will increase energy consumption and should therefore be avoided. • If this is not possible, the following minimum distances must be respected: - 30 cm from coal or oil stoves; - 3 cm from electric and/or gas cookers. • Clean the inside (refer to “Maintenance and cleaning” of the appliance). • Insert or install the accessories/parts supplied. Using the product This appliance is an electronically controlled, drawers refrigerator for the storage of fresh food and beverages. Optimum performance depends on the climatic class indicated on the rating plate. This product is fitted with a drawers’ internal ventilation system. Foods and beverages should be stored in closed containers or covered with film. Notes: • 4-5 hours are required for the refrigerator compartment to reach a temperature suitable for storage. • Ambient temperature, frequency of drawer opening and position of the appliance can affect the temperature inside. These factors should therefore be taken into account when setting temperatures. • In storing the food in the drawers, ensure vents are not obstructed. • Storing vegetables with high water content can cause condensation to form: this does not affect correct appliance operation. 6 Using the product Storing food in the refrigerator compartment Place the food as shown in the figure. D E F G H Butter Fish, meat, diary products, cheese Fruit & vegetables Egg tray Tube holder A Cooked food B Milk / fruit juice cartons compartment C Bottles A D E B C G H F NOTE: When filling the lower drawer, care should be taken not to overfill, ensuring that the stored food does not spill over the edge of the drawer, resulting in the drawer jamming and becoming difficult to open. “Tropical” function (removes condensation) This function is used in case of condensation on the drawers seals. Control panel lock To prevent children from accidentally selecting unwanted functions, the control panel can be locked by pressing the keys (8) and (10) at the same time for 3 seconds. With the “Control Panel Lock” function activated, the entire control panel will be locked except for the “Alarm reset” key (11). An acoustic signal will sound and the message “CL” will appear on temperature display whenever and for the entire time the key is pressed. To unlock the control panel, proceed as above, pressing the keys (8) and (10) at the same time for 3 seconds. Temperature adjustment The temperature is factory set to +5°C (display 2). To change the temperature setting, press the buttons (3) or (4) on the control panel, until the required value is obtained. Settable temperature limit: • +3°C coldest temperature • +8°C warmest temperature Fast cooling function (“Fast Cooling”) The use of this function is recommended when placing a very high quantity of food in the refrigerator compartment. By pressing the button (10) it is possible to increase the cooling speed of the foods inside the refrigerator compartment. In any case, the “Fast cooling” function can be manually deactivated by pressing the same button (10). [. . . ] - The drawers do not close correctly (see the section “Using the product”). “Faulty refrigerator sensors” alarm (red led on, acoustic signal activated and the letters C or E appear on the display) - A refrigerator compartment temperature sensor is faulty, but the appliance continues to work with an emergency procedure. The letters “AF” appear on the display • “Antibacterial filter” alarm indicates that the antibacterial filter is no longer effective (refer to “Maintenance and cleaning”) . Notes: - If the front edge of the appliance is hot at the drawer seal edge, this is not a fault and prevents the formation of condensation. [. . . ]
