OPERATION OF THE REFRIGERATOR AND FREEZER COMPARTMENT • If the refrigerator compartment of your appliance is fitted with a thermostat box and an external panel, the temperature of both compartments is adjusted using the thermostat knob as shown in figure 1. €¢ If in addition to the internal thermostat box your appliance also has an external control panel with an adjustment knob, the temperatures of the two compartments must be adjusted separately. The knob of the thermostat inside the refrigerator compartment is used for adjusting the temperature of the refrigerator compartment only (see fig. DEFROSTING THE FREEZER COMPARTMENT The freezer should be defrosted once or twice a year or when excessive frost is present (3 mm thickness).
