[. . . ] This appliance is marked in compliance with European Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). By ensuring the correct disposal of this appliance, you can help prevent potentially negative consequences for the environment and the health of persons. The symbol on the appliance, or on the accompanying documents, indicates that this appliance should not be treated as domestic waste but must be taken to a special collection centre for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. When scrapping the appliance, make it unusable by cutting off the power cable and removing the doors and shelves so that children cannot easily climb inside and become trapped. [. . . ] Notes: · 4-5 hours are required for the refrigerator compartment to reach a temperature suitable for storage. · Ambient temperature, frequency of drawer opening and position of the appliance can affect the temperature inside. These factors should therefore be taken into account when setting temperatures. · In storing the food in the drawers, ensure vents are not obstructed. · Storing vegetables with high water content can cause condensation to form: this does not affect correct appliance operation. 17 USING THE PRODUCT (continuation) Storing food in the refrigerator compartment. D Butter E Fish, meat, dairy products, cheese F Fruit & vegetables G Egg H Tubes holder A Cooked food B Milk / fruit juice cartons compartment C Bottles A D E B C G H F NOTE: when filling the lower drawer, care should be taken not too overfill and to ensure that the food stored does not spill over edge of the drawer, as this could result in the drawer getting jammed and becoming difficult to reopen. Temperature adjustment The temperature is factory set to +5°C (display 2). To change the temperature setting, press the buttons (3) or (4) on the control panel, until the required value is obtained. Settable temperature limit: · +3°C coldest temperature · +8°C warmest temperature Fast cooling function The use of this function is recommended when placing a very high quantity of food in the refrigerator compartment. By pressing the button (10) it is possible to increase the cooling speed of the foods inside the refrigerator compartment. In any case, the "Fast cooling" function can be manually deactivated by pressing the same button (10). The "--" sign will replace the temperature value on the display (2). To reactivate the refrigerator, press the same button (1) for 3 seconds. "Tropical" function (removes condensation) This function is used in case of condensation on the drawers seals. Control panel lock To prevent children from accidentally selecting unwanted functions, the control panel can be locked by pressing the keys (8) and (10) at the same time for 3 seconds. With the "Control Panel Lock" function activated, the entire control panel will be locked except for the "Acoustic Alarm" key (6). An acoustic signal will sound and the message "CL" will appear on temperature display whenever and for the entire time the key is pressed. To unlock the control panel, proceed as above, pressing the keys (8) and (10) at the same time for 3 seconds. 18 USING THE PRODUCT (continuation) Appliance's alarms Open drawer alarm (upper draw only) The acoustic alarm will activate when the upper drawer has been left open. To completely deactivate the drawer open alarm, close the refrigerator drawer. Temperature alarm Should the temperature inside the appliance exceed +15°C with the drawer closed, the system will issue an acoustic signal and the red alarm led (5) will start flashing. Pressing the Acoustic Alarm button (6), the alarm sound will silence, but the LED will continue flashing until the temperature decreases to the correct conservation temperature. Antibacterial filter alarm If on opening the drawer, the letters "AF" appear on the display (2), the antibacterial filter needs replacing (see section "Maintenance and cleaning"). ELECTRICAL CONNECTION FOR GREAT BRITAIN AND IRELAND ONLY Warning - this appliance must be earthed Fuse replacement If the mains lead of this appliance is fitted with a BS 1363A 13amp fused plug, to change a fuse in this type of plug use an A. S. T. A. Important: The fuse cover must be refitted when changing a fuse and if the fuse cover is lost the plug must not be used until a correct replacement is fitted. [. . . ]
