Overlapped areas will be made along the leading and trailing edges of each copy. To cancel the MULTI-PAGE ENLARGEMENT function, select the MULTI-PAGE ENLARGEMENT function again and press the "CANCEL" key. 3-35 IMAGE EDITING FUNCTIONS EXTRA SIZE The EXTRA SIZE function provides a method for entering the dimensions of non-standard size copy paper and non-standard size originals for the purpose of automatic enlargement or reduction of the image for a best fit onto the copy paper. 5 KEY OPERATOR Extra paper size setting for each individual paper tray of the copier can be made. See page 8-22. CHAPTER3 SPECIAL FUNCTIONS Image editing functions 1 Place the non-standard original on the document glass or the non-standard copy paper into the bypass tray. q Either one or both can be set. If an original on the document glass or paper in the bypass tray is set on opening the EXTRA SIZE screen, the original and paper dimensions in X (horizontal) and Y (vertical) will be shown respectively on the ORIGINAL SIZE tab and the PAPER SIZE FOR BYPASS tab. As a starting point, the dimensions shown for extra size originals or paper will be the closest match to standard sizes. READY TO COPY. If the "ENABLE AUTO SIZE DETECTION" check box is checked on either tab, the size detection function will be activated. CHAPTER4 SUPPLIES Paper Loading copy paper "OPEN TRAY AND ADD PAPER. " will be displayed when there is no copy paper in a selected paper feed station. When a selected paper tray is not installed or is improperly installed, "PUSH PAPER TRAY INTO MACHINE UNTIL IT LATCHES. " will be displayed. For best results, use only Sharp recommended paper. 4-2 PAPER Loading paper in the paper trays 1 Gently lift and pull out the paper tray. CHAPTER4 2 Only use paper within the Sharp specification and follow the paper manufacturer's instructions regarding fanning and loading the paper. The "PRINTER" and "ALL PROGRAMS" keys are used when an optional printer feature is installed. CHAPTER8 q 8-31 KEY OPERATOR PROGRAMS Auto Colour Calibration The Auto Colour Calibration program enables automatic colour gradation correction when it becomes misadjusted. NOTE: The colour gradation may not be sufficiently corrected after one correction cycle. This program can be selected by pressing the "AUTO COLOUR CALIBRATION" key on the category menu screen. KEY OPERATOR PROGRAMS COPIER MODE OTHER FUNCTION SETTINGS ENABLE/DISABLE SETTINGS OK TIMER SETTING ACCOUNT CONTROL AUTO COLOUR CALIBRATION 1. Select the "AUTO COLOUR CALIBRATION" key on the category menu screen. q The following display will appear. KEY OPERATOR PROGRAMS OK AUTO COLOUR CALIBRATION USE A3 PAPER FOR THIS ADJUSTMENT. 3. Press the "EXECUTE" key. q The copier will print the test patch. After the test patch is printed, place it on the document glass of the copier with 5 white sheets of the same size on top of it and press the "EXECUTE" key again. q Place the test patch on the document glass as shown in the illustration.
