Flues and air supply for gas appliances of rated input not exceeding 60 kW. Flues and air supply for gas appliances of rated input not exceeding 60 kW. BS 5546 : Installation of gas hot water supplies for domestic purposes. BS 5482 : Code of pratice for domestic butane and propane gas burning installations. The Gas Safety Regulations : it is the law that all gas appliances are installed by competent persons in accordance with the above regulations. It is in your own interest, and that of safety, to ensure the law is complied with. It is essential that the appliance is used in a well ventilated room, NOT in a confined space (i. e.
