Parts and Assembly
1. Control switch
IMPORTANT
THE BLENDER IS EQUIPPED WITH A SAFETY INTERLOCK SWITCH. THIS IS FITTED TO PREVENT THE MOTOR FROM BEING ACTIVATED WHILE THE MACHINE IS DISASSEMBLED. THE MOTOR WILL NOT RUN UNLESS THE BLENDER JUG IS PROPERLY LOCKED INTO PLACE.
ASSEMBLY Before first use it is a good idea to familiarise yourself with the assembly/disassembly of the unit. Note the position of the blender jug in relation to the base (as shown on the front cover of this book): 1. Line up the Glass Jug (3/9) with the handle to the right and turn slightly away from you. Place the Glass Jug (3/9) onto the Motor Block (7) and twist slightly until it falls into place. The motor will not run unless the blender Glass jug (3/9) is fitted properly.
To remove the Glass Jug (3/9) assembly, turn it anti-clockwise and lift it away from the motor block (7) SETTINGS There are 3 settings 1, 2 and M (pulse). Setting 1 is low speed and is usually best for liquids or cooked vegetables. Setting 2 is faster and is usually best when you want to add some air to the mixture e. g. The (M) pulse setting allows for more control over the blending/chopping process. There may be occasions were you don't want the food pieces to be chopped too finely this setting can also be used for crushing ice. NOTE: In pulse mode if you release the switch it will automatically spring back to the 0 (off) position when released. It is only intended for short powerful bursts not continued use.
Cleaning
When cleaning this product please observe the following precautions: · · Always ensure the unit is switched off & unplugged from the mains Exercise extreme caution when handling the metal blades. These are very sharp.
All parts except the Motor Block (7) can be washed with warm soapy water, rinsed and dried thoroughly. THE MOTOR BLOCK CONTAINS THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS.
