The use of attachments that are not recommended or sold by manufacturer may cause, fire electric shock or injury. To reduce the risk resulting of becoming entangled or tripping over a long cord a short power supply cord is provided. Do not let the cord hang over edge of a table or counter or touch hot surfaces. [. . . ] · Let the unit warm up for at least 3 - 5 minutes before adding the melted chocolate. PREPARING THE CHOCOLATE The quickest way to prepare chocolate for the fountain is by melting the chocolate in the microwave first. The chocolate needs to be completely melted and of thin consistency to allow proper flow. For your fondue fountain you can purchase chocolate that has been specifically formulated for this fountain. We highly recommend this chocolate and you will get the best results out of your fondue fountain by using this type of chocolate. · · · · Place 900 grams of the pre-formulated chocolate in a microwavable bowl and place in the microwave on high for 1 minute. If need place back in the microwave on 30 second intervals until completely melted. The pre-formulated chocolate can be purchased at www. buyprima. com Note: Chocolate burns very easily; keep an eye on the chocolate when melting. If you want to experiment with your own favorite brand of chocolate the table on page 6 gives instructions, on a selection of chocolate, on how to achieve the correct consistency for the perfect results with the fondue fountain. Once the chocolate is completely melted carefully pour the melted chocolate in the bowl at the base of the tower on the Chocolate Fondue Fountain. Once all the melted chocolate has been transferred to the base, turn the left switch (MOTOR) to the ON position, so the motor and the heater are running at the same time. DO NOT switch the motor on without the melted chocolate in place. CREATING THE CHOCOLATE FOUNDUE FOUNTAIN EFFECT You will hear the motor working and the melted chocolate should be drawn under the tower and carried up the tower by the auger. Chocolate should then begin to flow from the top of the tower and filter over the sides evenly to the next tier and so on until a veil has formed. NOTE: The CHOCOLATE FONDUE FOUNTAIN must be level to insure proper sheeting of the chocolate ­ adjust the two front legs of the fondue fountain until the chocolate is flowing evenly around the fountain. Avoid food pieces dropping into chocolate in base to prevent clogging the flow of chocolate. 4 TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM Chocolate is dripping, not flowing POSSIBLE CAUSE/REMEDY Chocolate is too thick - Thin with vegetable oil. Unit is not level - Adjust the front feet to level the unit so that the chocolate is evenly distributed around the tower to ensure proper sheeting Unit is not LEVEL: level unit, by adjusting two legs at the front, so that chocolate is evenly distributed around the tower to ensure proper sheeting. Check for chunks of food in base that may be clogging the chocolate flow to base of tower, remove any chunks found. Trapped Air Bubbles: turn off the fountain and watch the air bubbles disperse. Switch back on Unit is not level: You Chocolate is too thick - Thin with vegetable oil. Unit is not level - Adjust the front feet to level the unit so that the chocolate is evenly distributed around the tower to ensure proper sheeting ­ Take care not to tilt the unit too much as molten chocolate may spill out of base. . Chocolate is flowing unevenly, and not Sheeting Flow is intermittent, interrupted, not flowing properly Chocolate is not covering the bottom tier and leaving large gaps. DO NOT ADD COOL OR COLD LIQUID ­ THIS WILL STOP THE FLOW OF THE FOUNTAIN. DO NOT USE OUT DOORS OR UNDER AIR CONDITIONING THIS WILL EFFECT THE CONSISTANCY OF THE CHOCOLATE WHICH WILL EFFECT THE FLOW OF THE FOUNTAIN By following these simple instructions, your CHOCOLATE FONDUE FOUNTAIN will be fun for friends and family by creating a beautiful effect of mouth-watering chocolate for dipping everyone's favorite snacks. NOTE: To prolong the life of your CHOCOLATE FONDUE FOUNTAIN be sure to follow the cleaning instructions after every use and make sure the tower is flushed while washing the unit to prevent chocolate build up.
