6. 1  Chargeyourheadset Beforeyouuseyourheadsetforthefirsttime,  chargethebatteryfor6hoursforoptimum batterycapacityandlifetime.  arning W Useonlytheoriginalcharger(5V, 500mA). Using anotherchargermaydamageordestroyyour headset. Plugthechargerintothepoweroutletand connectthechargercabletotheheadsets chargingsocket. 

6. 2  Pairyourheadsetwithyourmobile phone YourBluetoothstereoheadsetmustbepaired toyourmobilephonebeforeconnectingand usingitforthefirsttimewithyourphone. "Pairing"willestablishauniqueencryptedlink betweenyourmobilephoneandyourheadset. Pairinghastobedone · beforeusingyourheadsetwithyourmobile phonefortheveryfirsttime, or · afterpairingmorethan2Bluetoothdevices withyourheadset. Yourheadsetcanstoreup to2paireddevicesinitsmemory, ifyoupair morethan2devicestheoldestpaireddevice isoverwritten. · "Pairing"isdifferentfrom"connecting"as pairingtypicallyonlyhastobedoneonce,  whereasthephoneandheadsetneedto "connect"everytimeoneofthetwodevices wasturnedofforoutofrange. 

Caution Finishyourcallbeforechargingtheheadset, as connectingtheheadsetforchargingwillcutan ongoingcall. DuringrechargingtheLEDindicatorwillshow aredlight. TheLEDwillturnoffoncecharging iscomplete. Typicallyafullchargewilltake fourhours. Youcanoperatetheheadsetduring charging. Tip Youcansaveenergyandprotectthe environmentbyunpluggingthechargerafter chargingiscomplete. 

Topairyourheadsetwithyour mobilephone Makesuretheheadsetischarged, yourmobile phoneisturnedonanditsBluetoothfeatureis enabled. Checkyourphonesuserguidetolearn howtoturnonBluetoothonyourphone.

 Withtheheadsetturnedoff, press untiltheLEDstartsblinkingredandblue alternately. Theheadsetwillremainin "pairingmode"for5minutes.   Pairingtypicallyinvolvesafewsimplesteps outlinedbelow, pleasecheckyourphones userguidefordetails.

 Accessamenuonyourmobilephone typicallycalled"Setup", "Settings",  "Bluetooth"or"Connectivity". Selectthe optiontodiscoverorsearchforBluetooth devices. Afterafewsecondsyourphone shouldindicatethatithasfoundthe"Philips SHB9000". 4  Uponselectingthe"PhilipsSHB9000"on yourmobilephonetypicallyyouwillneed toconfirmthepairingandenterapasscode. Aftersuccessfulpairing, theheadsetwillconnect tothemobilephone. Youwillhearalongbeep toconfirmsuccessfulpairingandtheheadsets LEDwillchangefromflashingred/blueto periodicallyflashingblueeverythreeseconds.
