[. . . ] This product (PER-E02) is an underwater extension ring for use with the PT-E series Underwater Case. It is designed to be used in combination with the "ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 7-14mm F4. 0" lens and the PPO-E04 Underwater Lens Port. Underwater zooming is possible when the zoom gear, provided with this product, is attached to the lens. [. . . ] Underwater zooming is possible when the zoom gear, provided with this product, is attached to the lens. However, only AF (auto focus) focusing is available. This product should also be used in combination with the separately available PPO-E04 Underwater Lens Port. Applicable lens Applicable underwater lens port ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 7-14 mm F4. 0 PPO-E04 2 Mounting the PER-E02 between the Waterproof Case and the Waterproof Lens Port Threaded section O-ring PPO-E04 Silicone grease application surfaces Threaded section O-ring PER-E02 Surface coming in contact with the lens port's O-ring/ Port mount thread O-ring contact surfaces Port mount thread PT-E series waterproof case This product is designed to be mounted between the PT-E series underwater case and the PPO-E04 Underwater Lens Port. Before mounting, make sure that no foreign matter is attached to the O-rings, O-ring contact surfaces, port mount threads or threaded sections of the three modules. Apply a thin layer of the provided silicone O-ring grease to each of these parts. E-2 Align the threaded section of the PER-E02 with the port mount thread on the PT-E series case. Hold the PT-E series case firmly with one hand, hold the main body of the PER-E02 with your other hand and screw it into the PT-E series by turning the PER-E02 clockwise. However, be sure to screw it in all the way until there is no gap visible between the case's port mount thread and the PER-E02's threaded section. If the resistance is extremely high, apply some more silicone O-ring grease again to surfaces listed above. Screw in until there is no gap. Align the lens port mount thread of the PER-E02 with the threaded section on the PPO-E04 lens port. Hold the PT-E series case and PER-E02 firmly with one hand, hold the main body of the PPO-E04 lens port with your other hand and turn it clockwise to screw it into the PER-E02. Resistance will increase as the PPO-E04 lens port is screwed in However, be sure to screw it in all the way until there is no gap visible between the PPO-E04 lens port's thread section and the PER-E02's port mount thread. If the resistance is extremely high, apply some more silicone O-ring grease again to surfaces listed above. Screw in until there is no gap. E-3 3 Dismounting the PER-E02 If any water is on the product, wipe it completely away and make sure that the product is dry. Holding the PT-E series case firmly with one hand, loosen the PPO-E04 lens port that is attached to the PER-E02 by turning the lens port about 90 degrees counterclockwise. If the PPOE04 is screwed in too tight, wrap it with a piece of rubber or other slip-resistant material. After loosening the PPO-E04 lens port, position it so that its lens points down and turn it further counterclockwise until it separates from the PER-E02. Be careful not to drop the PPO-E04 lens port, PER-E02 or PT-E series case. Holding the PT-E series case firmly with one hand, loosen the PER-E02 by turning it about 90 degrees counterclockwise.
