While the voice recorder is in stop mode, press the MENU button. Press the `OK button. Set the repeat count: 1 Press the 2 or 3 button to select [One Time], [Every Week] or [Everyday]. 5 Setting timer recording [Timer Rec] 3 Repeat steps 1 and 2 to set the timer recording date. Set the start and end times: 1 Press the 2 or 3 button to change the number. [Every Week]: After recording on the specified date and time, repeats recording at the same time each week. [Everyday]: After recording on the specified date and time, repeats recording at the same time every day. 7 Press the F3 (GO) button to complete the setting. 3 Repeat steps 1 and 2 to set the time. EN 77 Setting timer recording [Timer Rec] Setting timer recording [Timer Rec] Turning preset recording On/Off 1 2 3 4 While the voice recorder is in stop mode, press the MENU button. Press the F3 (ON/OFF) button. NOTE • Check the [Current time] and if it is incorrect, adjust the date and time of the voice recorder (☞ P. 71). • If voice recording is in progress or the unit is in use when the [Timer Rec] start time arrives, [Timer Rec] starts after the operation is finished. • Because the battery can run out during timer recording and in such a case recording will be suspended, check the remaining battery level. TIP • Even though the power is Off or on hold, when the specified [Timer Rec] time arrives, recording starts. • If the [Start Time] settings are the same, [Preset 1] has the highest priority and [Preset 3] has the lowest priority. • If [Start Time] of [Timer Rec] and [Alarm] (☞ P. 52) are set to the same time, [Timer Rec] takes priority. 5 5 Setting timer recording [Timer Rec] EN 78 • Each time the F3 (ON/OFF) button is pressed, the preset will be switched on or off. Extracting the speaking portions of files of spoken-word content [Voice Detect] Extracting the speaking portions of files of spoken-word content [Voice Detect] The function extracts the speech portions of a voice file or a file being recorded by the voice recorder. NOTE • The [Voice Detect] function can only be used in [Recorder] mode. • To extract the speech portion from saved files, select a folder from [&] to [*] in the [Recorder] folder beforehand. 4 Press the 2 or 3 button to select [File select] or [With recording]. 5 Extracting the speaking portions of files of spoken-word content [Voice Detect] [File select]: Select a file for which you want to extract the speech portion. [With recording]: Extract the speech portion while recording. 1 2 3 While the voice recorder is in stop mode, press the MENU button. 5 Press the `OK button to move to the respective setting. EN 79 Extracting the speaking portions of files of spoken-word content [Voice Detect] Extracting the speaking portions of files of spoken-word content [Voice Detect] When [File select] is selected: 1 Press the 2 or 3 button to select the file from which you wish to extract the speech portion. TIP • When extraction of the speech portion is completed, the [Voice Playback] setting in the [Play Menu] is switched to [On] (☞ P. 62). 5 Extracting the speaking portions of files of spoken-word content [Voice Detect] EN 80 2 Press the `OK button. • When [Voice Detection completed] is displayed, the procedure is completed. When [With recording] is selected: 1 Press the 2 or 3 button to select [On] or [Off]. NOTE • If you select a folder that does not contain any files, [No file] is displayed. You must select a folder containing a file before you can perform the process. • The speech portion may not be extracted correctly from a file that contains non-spoken word content such as recorded musical performances. [. . . ] s Do not attempt to insert a power plug with dust adhering into an outlet. s Do not use the AC adapter if the power plug is damaged or the plug is not completely connected to the outlet. s Unplug the AC adapter from AC outlet when not using.
