[. . . ] Nokia FM Transmitter CA-300 6 3 5 7 9203668/1 ENGLISH DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY Hereby, NOKIA CORPORATION declares that this CA-119 product is in compliance with the essential requirements and other relevant provisions of Directive 1999/5/EC. The product is in conformity with the limits defined in Directive 2004/104/EC (amending Directive 72/245/EEC), Annex I, paragraph 6. 5, 6. 6, 6. 8 and 6. 9. A copy of the Declaration of Conformity can be found at http://www. nokia. com/phones/ declaration_of_conformity/. [. . . ] Diversion contrary to law is prohibited. Introduction With the Nokia FM Transmitter CA-300 you can listen to music in stereo from a compatible device through your FM car radio system. You can connect the transmitter to a compatible device that has a standard 2. 5-mm or 3. 5-mm audio connector. Only operate the transmitter and the device connected to it if it is safe to do so under all driving conditions. Keep all accessories and enhancements out of the reach of small children. Connect to power To switch on the transmitter, insert the cigarette lighter plug (part 1 shown on the title page) to the cigarette lighter socket of your car. Ensure that the transmitter is properly inserted in the cigarette lighter socket ENGLISH and does not interfere with the normal operation of the car. In some car models, the cigarette lighter socket is powered by the car battery even when you remove the ignition key. In those cases, the car battery might be discharged even if the transmitter is not used. The best performance can be achieved when the distance between the FM transmitter and the radio antenna is under 2 meters (6 feet 7 inches). To charge the battery of your compatible Nokia device while using the transmitter, insert the 2. 0-mm charger plug (7) into the charger connector on your device. To switch off the transmitter, pull the cigarette lighter plug from the cigarette lighter socket. Set up Set the volume of the device that is connected to the transmitter to a medium level. Insert the audio plug (6) into the audio connector on your compatible device. If your device has the standard 3. 5-mm audio connector, connect the audio plug into this connector; if the device has the standard 2. 5-mm audio connector, connect the supplied ENGLISH AD-53 adapter to the device and the audio plug to the adapter. On the transmitter, press the frequency up key (3) or frequency down key (5) repeatedly to select the same frequency as on your car radio system. If music is playing on your device, you should hear the music from your car radio system. Save a frequency To save the selected frequency in the transmitter for later use, press and hold the memory key (4) for about 2 seconds until the M1/M2 indicator flashes four times on the display. When you save a frequency for the first time, it is saved in the memory location M1. When you save another frequency, it is saved in the memory location M2. [. . . ] Return the products to collection to prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal and to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. Collection information is available from the product retailer, local waste authorities, national producer responsibility organizations, or your local Nokia representative.
