OPENING THE GRILL AND SETTING TO THE DIFFERENT POSITIONS To open the grill, release the catch (f) on the upper handle (e), removing it from its housing to its intermediate position. Perpendicular plaques With the grill closed and the catch in its intermediate position, open the grill by lifting the upper cover up as far as it will go. 3) This working position is used when you do not want the upper plaque to come into contact with the food. To lock the catch in place, pull it up as far as it will go, and place it in its intermediate or closed position. This position is used for grilling twice the amount of food in one go, since double the surface area is made available. Do not let the cable hang over the edge of the table or worksurface, nor pass under the grill. This selector has one off position (0) and 5 cooking options to enable the user to choose the correct temperature depending on the type of food to be prepared. ⷠThe appliance ON pilot light (b) switches on when the appliance is plugged in and the temperature selector is set to a position between 1 and 5, and switches off when the plaques have reached the selected temperature. From this moment onwards, the grill will switch on and off automatically in order to maintain a constant temperature in the plaques. Once the plaques have reached the selected temperature, choose the required working position in accordance with that described in the section above and place the food on them. Cooking time may vary depending both on the type of food and personal taste. For this reason, we recommend that initially, you monitor the cooking process closely in order to establish your own set of cooking times.
