The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for damage resulting from incorrect, improper or irresponsible use and/or repairs carried out by unqualified personnel. Certain fundamental rules must be respected in the use of any electric appliance in order to reduce the risk of fire, electric shocks and/or personal injury: IN PARTICULAR · Read all instructions carefully and keep them for future reference. [. . . ] Do not use abrasive detergents or caustic or oven cleaners to clean the appliance. Before using, make sure there is enough clear space above and around the appliance to allow sufficient air circulation. Do not let the appliance come into contact with curtains, painted paper, clothes, kitchen cloths or any other flammable material during use. WARNING: On surfaces where heat may be a problem, we recommend the use of a thermal insulating sheet. Do not let children or the mentally disabled use the appliance without supervision. In the event of technical failure and/or improper working, switch the machine off and do not try to repair it. Repairs should only be carried out by an authorised Technical Assistance Service. This appliance should not be used by physically, sensorially or mentally Handicapped people or people without experience or knowledge of it (including children), unless they are supervised or instructed in the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. ⷠChildren should be watched to ensure they do not play with the appliance. ⷠFor greater protection, we recommend installing a residual current device (RCD) with an operational residual current not exceeding 30 mA. Close the appliance by lowering the upper lid and then plug into the mains. The On/Off pilot light will come on, indicating that the plates have begun to heat up. It must be taken to a special local authority differentiated waste collection centre or to a dealer providing this service.
