AEB can be combined with exposure compensation. 95 A AE LockN AE lock enables you to lock the exposure at a different place from the point of focus. By locking the exposure, you can recompose the shot while maintaining the same exposure setting. It is effective for backlit subjects. 1 Focus the subject. Press the shutter button halfway. (0) 2 Press the <A>the viewfinder to <A> lights in indicate that the exposure setting is locked (AE lock). Each time you press the <A> button, it locks the current exposure setting. For details, see "AE Lock" (p. 178). 96 Bulb Exposures When bulb is set, the shutter stays open while you hold down the shutter button completely, and closes when you let go of the shutter button.
