When the cleaning cycle is complete, discard both the vinegar and the paper filter. 5) Fill the water reservoir with tap water. Replace the reservoir on the coffeemaker, making sure that it is firmly attached to the coffeemaker body 6. ) Place the decanter on the warming plate and turn the coffeemaker on and allow it to complete a brew cycle. 7) Discard the water in the decanter and turn the coffeemaker off. Repeat steps 5 through 7 to flush all traces of vinegar from the coffeemaker. Cleaning the decanter Hard water can leave a whitish stain on the decanter.
