The following items are supplied: one telephone base one telephone receiver one telephone connection one spiral cable cable one operating manual After unpacking your telephone, you must first connect the telephone receiver to the base unit. To do this, take the short end of the spiral cable and plug it into the socket at the bottom of the receiver. [. . . ] If you ever need to remove the support, press gently on the two clips on the upper edge and then pull the desk support off. Drill two holes 82 mm apart and leave the screws protruding from the wall by 5mm. Now place the telephone over the screws and push it slightly downwards. If you are using the telephone fitted to the wall, you can hang the receiver on the telephone without hanging up. Making a call The AUDIOLINE TEL 8 can be used like any conventional telephone. Please follow the instructions: Lift the receiver and wait for a dialling tone. If the caller's voice should be too soft or too loud, you can change the receiver volume. You can adjust the volume to suit your requirements using the buttons. If a connection that you have dialled is engaged or you were unable to get through to anybody, simply replace the receiver. The last number dialled remains stored in the telephone automatically. to use the redial facility , proceed as follows: Lift the receiver and press the redial button . You can switch off the microphone during a call using the mute button . The loudspeaker remains switched on and you can continue to hear the other party. The indicator light will go out and you can continue the call as normal. With the AUDIOLINE TEL 8 you can store 10 frequently used telephone numbers and call them directly using two buttons (speed dial). If you want to change a number that has already been stored, simply save the new number in the required storage location. Now press the required storage location 1 to 9 or 0 on the number pad. 7 Dialling with the speed dial buttons Now press the speed dial button and the required memory location from 1 to 9 or 0. To set the volume and the call tone melody to meet your requirements, you have nine different volumes and alternative melodies available. If ever you do not want to be disturbed, you can switch the call tone off altogether.
