When your outgoing message is 18 seconds, for example, then 49 minutes and 42 seconds remain for incoming messages. You can play back your outgoing message at any time by pressing the REC/x button briefly. The next time a call is received, the answering machine plays the default outgoing message. Setting the number of rings on the rear side of the answering machine is a sliding switch (2 6 TS). Set the sliding switch to the number of times the answering machine should ring before it takes a call. The first call is taken after six rings and all the other calls after two rings. This switch position can be used to implement the toll-saving remote access function. If the caller speaks for a longer period, an acoustic signal is issued and the call is disconnected. If there is a pause in excess of seven seconds during recording, the call is automatically ended, accompanied by an acoustic signal. The answering machine is switched on, the LED above the q/p button lights up. The integrated loudspeaker enables you to listen to messages as they are being recorded. If you do not want to listen-in to incoming calls, reduce the volume by pressing the Volume button z as often as necessary. If you lift the receiver while an incoming message is being recorded, recording is stopped and you can talk to the caller. When the LED above the q/p button is flashing, it means that new messages, memos or call extracts have been recorded in your absence. If the LED is not flashing, all recorded messages that you have not yet deleted will be played back. After the last message has been played back, two acoustic signals are issued. Press the REC/x button until the previous message is played back again. Press the u/CHECK button once to skip the message currently being played.
