To drain water, press this button again (the laundry will be spun) or select drain programme M. The programme chart in the interior part of the detergent dispenser drawer provides a general view of programmes available. 2 Spin reduction button By pressing this button the spin speed is reduced as follows: · normal programmes for cotton and linen from 1200 rpm to 650 rpm; · gentle programmes from 900 rpm to 650 rpm for synthetics and delicates and from 1000 rpm to 650 rpm for woollens. 6 ON/OFF button By pressing this button the machine is switched on and off. 7 Temperature selector dial By turning this dial to the right or to the left it is possible to select the desired temperature. Position : the machine uses water taken directly from the water supply, without heating it. 3 Quick wash button By pressing this button on programmes C and G the wash time is reduced. This button is particularly useful when slightly soiled garments have to be washed. recommended temperature: 40°C. 8 Programme selector dial By turning it clockwise, you choose the desired wash programme. Important! 4 Intensive rinse button By pressing this button with normal programmes for cotton and linen, rinses are carried out with more water. It is recommended in those areas where water is particularly soft and for people with sensitive skin. The programme selector dial must be turned only when the machine is off. 9 Control light It is on when the machine is started and goes off when the ON/OFF button is pressed again. 10 Washing hints Sorting the laundry · Follow the wash code symbols on each garment label and the manufacturer's washing instructions. · Sort the laundry as follows: whites, coloureds, synthetics, delicates, woollens. · New coloured items may run in the first wash; they should therefore be washed separately the first time. · Make sure that no metal objects are left in the laundry (e. g. Pour half a measure of detergent into the main wash compartment and start up the machine. 1. Place the laundry in the drum, one item at a time, shaking them out as much as possible. Measure out the detergent Pull out the dispenser drawer until it stops. Measure out the amount of detergent recommended by the manufacturer in a graduated cup and pour it into the main wash compartment . If you wish to carry out the prewash, pour detergent into the appropriate compartment marked . P0876 3. Measure out the additives If required, pour fabric softener into the compartment marked without exceeding the «MAX» mark. P0877 4. Select the required option(s) Depress one or more buttons depending on the selected programme. 14 5. Select the temperature Turn the temperature selector dial to the required temperature. 60 M0042 6. Select the required programme Turn the programme selector dial clockwise to the required programme. B M0043 7. [. . . ] Emergency emptying out If the water is not discharged (outlet pump is blocked, filter or outlet hose are clogged), proceed as follows to empty out the machine: · pull out the plug from the power socket; · close the water tap; · if necessary, wait until the water has cooled down; · place a bowl on the floor; · put the outlet hose end into the bowl and let the water come out. Should it not be possible to have access to the outlet hose because, for example, the appliance is built in the kitchen furniture, slightly loosen the outlet filter after placing a bowl on the floor, to let the water come out slowly. Frost precautions If the machine is installed in a place where the temperature could drop below 0°C, proceed as follows: · Close the water tap and unscrew the water inlet hose from the tap. · Place the end of the outlet hose and that of the inlet hose in a bowl placed on the floor.
