Keep this instruction booklet in a safe place: this booklet should always accompany the appliance at such time as it is sold or given to other persons for use. Installation and service Any electrical installation of the cooker hood must be carried out by a qualified electrician and the hood itself must be installed by someone with experience. [. . . ] Read the section on Maintenance and Cleaning in the instruction book. Disposal Prevent accidents when disposing of your cooker hood. Disconnect the power plug from the wall socket and cut the power cord at the hood inlet. Contact your local authority for information on where to dispose the cooker hood. 34 Description of the appliance Functions There are two possible systems: Extraction of air to the outside using an optional venting kit and evacuation duct. The air outlet must not be connected to chimney flues or combustion gas ducts. The air outlet must under no circumstances be connected to ventilation ducts for rooms in which fuel-burning appliances are installed. Accessories The following are included with the cooker hood: 1 hood canopy complete with controls, lighting and fan motor. 1 telescopic chimney stack formed by: Ushaped upper section and U-shaped lower section. 1 plastic bag containing: 2 wall hooks to fix the canopy hood, 1 wall bracket to fix the chimney, rawl plugs, screws, and documentation. The following can be ordered from your retailer: Charcoal filter, Type 29. The carbon filter is to be used when the hood is connected to the recirculation mode. A Extraction mode In this mode fumes are extracted to the outside via a hose connected to the coupling ring A. In order to obtain the best performance the hose should have a diameter equal to the outlet hole. Fig. 1 Recirculation mode The air is filtered through a charcoal filter and returned to the kitchen. You will need an original ELECTROLUX Type 29 charcoal filter for the recirculation mode. Any appliance or defective part replaced shall become the Companys property. This guarantee is in addition to your statutory and other legal rights. Visits may be available outside these hours in which case a premium will be charged. Exclusions This guarantee does not cover: Damage or calls resulting from transportation, improper use or neglect, the replacement of any light bulbs or removable parts of glass or plastic. Costs incurred for calls to put right an appliance which is improperly installed or calls to appliances outside the European Community (EC) or European Free Trade Area. Appliances found to be in use within a commercial environment, plus those which are subject to rental agreements. Products of Electrolux manufacture which are not marketed by Electrolux. European Guarantee If you should move to another country within Europe then your guarantee moves with you to your new home subject to the following qualifications: The guarantee starts from the date you first purchased your product. The guarantee is for the same period and to the same extent for labour and parts as exists in the new country of use for this brand or range of products. This guarantee relates to you and cannot be transferred to another user. Your new home is within the European Community (EC) or European Free Trade Area. The product is installed and used in accordance with our instructions and is only used domestically, i. e. The product is installed taking into account regulations in your new country. [. . . ] The cooker hood cannot be connected to flues of other appliances that run on energy sources other than electricity. Please, keep to the provisions of official directives regarding fume discharge. Fig. 5 = X = X Electrical connection The hood has a power cable with earth connection and the rated voltage is 220-240V. Assembling the chimney flue support/bracket (3 parts): The three parts should be fixed with 4 screws, the support extension is adjustable and should correspond to the internal width of the telescopic chimney flue.
